Artis Boone

       Artis Boone,  son of the late James and Catherine Boone, began his journey through life on June 5, 1947, in Northampton County, North Carolina.
       Artis attended Oberry's Training School,  Goldsboro, North Carolina and was later admitted to Caswell Center, Kinston, North Carolina.
       On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, while at UNC Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Kinston, North Carolina; God in his infinite wisdom,  called Artis home to rest.  "Come ye, blessed of my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you."  In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by: three siblings, Margaret, Russell and Catherine.
       Cherish memories will forever remain in the heart  of:  two sisters, Alice Johnson (Tommy) of Windsor, Virginia and Annie Boone of Suitland, Maryland; one sister-in-law, Marion M. Boone of Jackson, North Carolina; three aunts, Susie C. Buffaloe, India Parker and Rosa Robertson;  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
