Beatrice (Johnson) Dawson

  Beatrice Johnson Dawson, daughter of the late Wit and Mollie Allen Johnson, was born January 11, 1929, in Wake County, North Carolina.

      Beatrice was educated in the Wake County Public School System.  She had to withdraw from school, at an early age, to care for her ailing mother.  After relocating, Beatrice united in Christian Fellowship with Galilee Baptist Church, Branchville, Virginia, where she remained a faithful servant, for many years.  She loved the Lord with all of her heart.  She believed in God; the Father almighty, who created heaven and earth. She possessed strong faith in Christ and did not waiver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, always acknowledging his presence.

       Beatrice was united in Holy Matrimony to Richard Dawson, who preceded her in death. 

       Beatrice enjoyed gardening and could  be found at any time studying her bible.  She was very kind-hearted; helping others in anyway that she could.  She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.   
      
      On Monday, December 4, 2017, our dear loved, answered God's solemn call from earthly labor, unto sweet eternal rest; while at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Virginia.  Her seeds are well sown, her service on earth is now complete and she now experience the victory and triumph of life.

        Treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of: four children, Annie Ruth Dawson of Boykins, Virginia, Lee Dawson (Carrie) of Franklin, Virginia, Grayling Dawson (Daniele) of Stem, North Carolina and Harold Dawson of Branchville, Virginia; a host of  grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
