Chester Dale Gay, Sr.

Chester Dale Gay, Sr., son of the late Joseph and Lula Deloatch Gay, was born May 17, 1952, in Northampton County, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. 

Survivors include: his children, Marvin Gay of Jackson, North Carolina, Joseph Gay of Raleigh, North Carolina; Chester D. Gay, Jr. of Washington, DC, Christopher Gay of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Pamela Gay of Jackson, North Carolina and Katanya Bynum of Florence, South Carolina; thirty-two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Dorothy Artis of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Thelma Lundy and Emma Rimm both of Norfolk, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
