Collie Jordan

       Collie Jordan, son of the late Charlie and Willie Branch Jordan, was born May 20, 1940, in Northampton County, North Carolina.

       Collie was educated in the Northampton County School System.  For many years, he was employed, as Maintenance Supervisor,  with the Town of Jackson. 

       On Monday, May 15, 2017, Collie peacefully slipped into eternal rest, while in the comfort of his home.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by:  his beloved wife, Shirley Jean 'Tootsie' Artis Jordan (August 24, 2016). 

​       Fond memories will forever be cherished by:  his  children, Jesse Artis of Newport News, Virginia, Cathy Artis (James) of Gaston, North Carolina, Michael Artis of the home, Charles Jordan, Sr. (Sharon) of Durham, North Carolina, Pamela Mason (Jesse) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and Anthony Jordan of the home; eight grandchildren, Letisha Harvey, Tyvon Artis, Andre Jones, Brandon Artis, Keaun Mason, JaQuan Mason,  Jelisha Mason and  Charles Jordan, Jr.; six great grandchildren, Amber, Brooke, My'Kiah, Saleigha, Ja'Moun and I'Liyan; three sisters-in-law, Josephine A. Faison, Catherine Artis (Cecil) and Ola Mae Deloatch all of Jackson, North Carolina; four brothers-in-law, Coley Artis (Jeanette) of Hyattsville, Maryland, Joe Wilson Artis (Gwen) of Jonesboro, Georgia,  James Arthur Odom, Jr. (Doris) of Jackson, North Carolina and George Odom of Portsmouth, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
