Life began for Folandies Moody, on July 31, 1956, in Northampton County. He was born to the late James and Sarah Dozine Banks Moody.
'Lane', as he was affectionately called, received his formal education through the public schools of Northampton County. He was employed as a Construction Worker with Ceco Constructions, for 33 years. He also worked as a Maintenance worker at the Welcome Center in Skippers, Virginia, for a short period of time.
Although 'Lane' was not affiliated with a local church, he did accept Christ as his Lord and Savior and possessed many characteristics of a true Christian.
'Lane' was very talented with his hands and utilized this gift through carpentry. He also enjoyed spending time laughing and talking with his family and friends.
On Sunday, August 6, 2017, our dear loved peacefully departed this earthly life, , while in the serenity of his home. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: a sister, Catherine Hardy and a brother, Johnnie Moody.
Those left to cherish his memories: his son, Marshall Adams (Tomica); two grandsons, Marshall D. Adams and Tarik Adams all of Gaston, North Carolina; one brother, Al Moody (Jennie) of Newport News, Virginia; three sisters, Emily Simmons (James) and Lorraine Robinson both of Gaston, North Carolina and Mary L. Moody of Raleigh, North Carolina; a longtime, devoted friend, Arlene Banks of the home; four children-at-heart, William and Wilbert Banks, Shelly Winfield and Tony Chatman; two special friends, Joyce and Rose; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, who will greatly miss his earthly presence.
