Gladys Jean Buffaloe

    Gladys Jean Buffaloe, daughter of the late Lewis Pernell Buffaloe and Lillie Mae Kee Buffaloe, began her journey through life on January 13, 1955, in Northampton County, North Carolina.

     Gladys was educated in the Northampton County Public School System;  graduating with the Class of 1976.  She furthered her studies  at Halifax Community College, Weldon, North Carolina; becoming  a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She  was also employed with Northampton County Schools, for a few years, prior to her health declining.  

    During her youth and upon her profession of faith, Gladys united in Christian Fellowship with  Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, North Carolina and remained a member, until her demise.    

   On Sunday, November 26, 2017, our beloved, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; quietly slipped into an eternal slumber.  She has now received her wings and is ready to take flight.   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: one sister, Juanita Buffaloe Harrell and two brothers, Roy Lee Buffaloe and Willie Mack Buffaloe. 

    Cherished memories shall remain in the hearts of: two daughters, Lisa Deloatch (Reginald) of Conway, North Carolina and Kimberly Buffaloe of the home; five grandchildren, Jamal Deloatch, Justin Deloatch, Deshawn Gilliam, Kimtasia Smith and Deontreal Reid; a daughter-at-heart, Julia Ann Davis (Carmilus) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; her siblings, Gracie Roberts of Jackson, North Carolina, Sylvia Stephenson of Pendleton, North Carolina, Burnell Jackson (Stephen) of Jackson, North Carolina and John Harvey Buffaloe (Ranata) of Berlin, Germany; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
