My heart is heavy, but those of us who are believers in Christ have the blessed assurance that we will see our loved one again. And then, "It will always be howdy, howdy, and never good-bye." Lou, I know that you'll miss Aunt Rena, but I pray that you'll find comfort in knowing that you did everything humanly possible to care for her and to make sure she was properly cared for in her final days. I trust that God's love will surround you, and Aunt Rena's memories will warm your heart like a blanket on winter's coldest night. I know that God can give you a peace that surpasses all understanding because earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Jo,
What can I say to a cousin who is so awesome, loving and supportive. You were there at a time when I felt so all alone and you comforted me and encouraged me. I will never forget your kindness. Always, Lou

My Dearest Sister:
Out of 12 girls and 6 boys, God left you and me here together for 12 years. I told you many times that you would be here when I am gone, but God saw it differently. He makes no mistakes, and he is always in control. Recently, I've picked up the phone to call you and realized that you weren't there anymore. I know that I am going to miss you in the days, weeks and months to come. But one thing I do know, you had a personal relationship with the Lord, and I will see you again. You will be forever in my heart.
Love,
Your Sister Tee (Agnes)

To my mother: We had some good days and some sleepless nights but when I look around and think things over, all our good days, out-weight our bad days, we won't complain. We prayed together, we sang our songs. We played school and practice our speech. You were such a good student, sometimes too funny. I remember when I told you that you would have to go back to school to learn to talk again, you shook your head "no" and when I asked what grade you wanted to be in, you said "none", loud and clear. So, to God be the glory. I couldn't have found my peace if it had not been for those few months together. If I had a thousand tongues, I couldn't thank God enough for that incredible journey and although it was hard, I didn't want to miss one day. But now, what do-I-do, sing and praise His Holy Name? Love you Mom!
