Irene 'Rena' (Robinson) Powell

      IRENE 'RENA' POWELL, daughter of the late Hubert and Frances Scott Robinson was born April 18, 1928 in Northampton County, North Carolina.

      'Rena' was educated in the Northampton County Public School System.  At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church. She served her church faithfully as a member of the Senior Usher Board until her health began to fail.

      Peacefully, 'Rena' departed this life on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland. 

     Those left to cherish her memory are: her children, Dorothy Powell of the home, Pearline Brown (Timothy) of  Lawrenceville, Virginia, Wilma Moody (Ben) of Riverdale, Maryland, Loraine Huston (Clarence), Baltimore, Maryland and Patricia Moody of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; a dear and loving sister, Agnes Webb of Richmond, Virginia; twelve grandchildren, Tabitha, Beverly, Tyrone, Annette, Roosevelt, Tiffany, Saundra, Anthony, Jeroy, Sheila, Maurice, and Michelle; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great, great-grandchildren; three supportive nieces, Carolyn Stevenson, Aniessa Hawkins and Joann Webb; three devoted nephews, Walter Lashley, Charles Lashley and Michael Powell; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
