"A Time to be Born" ~ Ecclesiastes 3: 2
    Lauretta Branch Joyner,   was born January 10, 1927 in Northampton County, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Cleophus 'Clee' and Mattie Maddrey Branch.
    
"A Time to be Trained"  ~ Proverbs 22: 3
      Lauretta obtained her early education from Willis Hare High School, Pendleton, North Carolina.

"A Time to be Saved"  ~  John 30:3
     At an early age, Lauretta accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She was baptized at First Baptist Church, Severn.  She was a faithful member of the: Deaconess Ministry, Missionary Ministry,  Women in Prayer Outreach Ministry, choir member and devoted Sunday School member. 

"A Time to Labor"  ~ Genesis 3: 19
      Lauretta was employed with Severn Peanut Company.  She later retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation, Conway, North Carolina, after many years of service. 

"A Time to Love"  ~  Ecclesiastes 3: 8
     Lauretta was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Barzella Joyner, Jr.  She loved God, her family and her church family.

"A Time to Die"  ~ Ecclesiastes 3:2
     At the age of 90, Lauretta was called from earthly labor unto eternal reward in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 21, 2017, while at Creekside Care & Rehabilitation Center, Ahoskie, North Carolina.  In addition to her parents and husband, Barzella, she was also preceded in death by:  two sons, Waverly Joyner Sr. and Vernell Joyner; five sisters, Mollie, Lottie Mae, Iona, Arminta and Martha and three brothers, Royal, Elwood and Bradford.

"A Time to Mourn"  ~  Ecclesiastes 3:4
     Precious memories, Oh how they will forever linger in the hearts of:  one daughter, Marion Mizelle of Conway, North Carolina, three sons, Stanley W. Joyner (Glenn) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Eric Lionel Joyner (Debra) and Whalen M. Joyner both of Conway, North Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Joyner of Conway, North Carolina; one brother, Randolph Harris (Daisy) of New York;two sisters-in-law, Brydell Branch of Portsmouth, Virginia and Emma Lee Joyner of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; ten nieces; eight nephews; a special cousin, Rebecca Elliott of Chesapeake, Virginia;  a host of other relatives and friends.
