Nicole Lynette (Nikki/Cole) James

      Nicole Lynette James, daughter  of  Gloria James and Alfonza Bryant, began her journey through life on February 15, 1980, in Halifax County, North Carolina.
      'Nikki' or 'Cole', as she was fondly called, was educated in the Halifax and Edgecombe County School Systems.  She matriculated  at North Carolina Central University, before returning to Edgecombe County, where she was employed with Regan Carpet Cleaning Service, as an independent contractor, and on many occasions, as the Second in Command/Supervisor. Nicole later relocated to Greenville, North Carolina, with her two boys, and continued her independent contracting.   Early in life, she confessed faith in Christ and united in Christian Fellowship with Leggett Chapel  Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor William Taylor, Jr.
      Nicole loved children; and children returned that love in so many ways and on so many occasions.  She also loved her family dearly and longed for the continuance of  unity remembered, growing up.
       On Saturday, February 4, 2017, Nicole answered God's solemn call from earthly labor unto eternal rest, in the comfort of her home.
      Nicole was preceded in death by:   her maternal grandparents, Clarence Thomas James Sr. and Blaine Artis James; her paternal grandparents, Lee Andrew Bryant Sr. and Myrtle Bryant, one aunt, Maryann Bryant and five uncles, Simon 'Red' James, George James, Eddie Lee James, Walter James and  Robert James.
     Loving memories will forever be cherished by: two children, Silas James and Chaquavis James both of the home; her mother, Gloria James Hill (Greg Exum) of Tarboro, North Carolina; her father, Alfonza Bryant of Scotland, Neck, North Carolina; one sister, Brianna Zhanell James of Tarboro, North Carolina; maternal uncles, Jessie James and Clarence James Jr. both of Newark, New Jersey; Samuel James (Mary) of  Lawrence, North Carolina, Herbert James (Carol) of Tarboro, North Carolina and Billy James of  Brunswick, North Carolina; maternal aunts, Mary Wiggins (Ralph) of  Tarboro, North Carolina, Catherine Thomas of  Weldon, North Carolina, Sylvia Barlow (Mike) of  Tarboro, North Carolina; paternal aunts, Christine Bryant Mundy of  Ritter, Virginia,  Betty Bryant and  Doris Morgan both of Scotland Neck, North Carolina and Martha Moore (Ivory) of  Pinetops, North Carolina; paternal uncles, Lee Andrew Bryant Jr. of California, Donald Bryant (Jackie) of New York, William Bryant (Teresa) of Tarboro, North Carolina;  a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
