Shelton 'Junie' Winfield Scott, Jr.

      Shelton Winfield Scott, Jr. son of the late Shelton W. Scott, Sr. and Mable Simmons Scott, was born, August 4, 1952, in Gaston (Northampton County), North Carolina.
     'Junie', as he was fondly called, was educated in the Northampton County Public School System. He was employed in the Construction industry, until his health declined. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, playing bingo and working crossword puzzles.
     On Thursday, November 30, 2017, our dear loved one, peacefully departed this earthly life at the Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by: his grandson, Sequan Fleming and his siblings, Chester Scott, Beatrice Floyd, Annie Turner and Edward 'Pooh Boy' Scott. 
       Cherished memories shall forever remain in the hearts of: his wife, Geraldine Scott of Gaston, North Carolina; five children, Adrian 'A-John' Scott, Jamaal 'Jermaine' Scott (Ebony), Sherja Scott Cooper (Willie) all of Gaston, North Carolina, Toya Robinson of Connecticut and Shenita Scott of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; three step-children, Rodale Daniel, Risha Scott McDaniel and Stanley Scott all of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, Jordan Walker, Jayveon Martin, Destini Clark, Adia Scott, Sajaliek Epps, Jamarjae Williams, Javontae' Scott, Curtis Kirland, Jr., Samya Scott, Takyiah Scott, Maquel Jones, Treshawn Hardy and Dayshawn Hardy; one sister, Michelle Scott of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, one aunt, Gloria Banks of Emporia, Virginia; two uncles, James Simmons of Garysburg, North Carolina and Carl Simmons of Richmond, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Thelma Scott; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
