Tressie K. Buffaloe Watson

Tressie K. B. Watson, daughter of the late Arthur David Buffaloe and Maude Keene Williams, was born June 29, 1918, in Northampton County.

Tressie was educated in the Northampton County School System. She furthered her education at Elizabeth City State Teacher's College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Tressie was influential in the nurturing and growth of many students, while teaching for many years with Portsmouth City Schools and at Garysburg Elementary School.

Tressie was united in Holy Matrimony to Andrew F. Watson, who proceeded her in death. 

Early in life, Tressie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, was baptized and she united in Christian Fellowship with Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, North Carolina; where she served faithfully, until her health declined.

On Monday, December 4, 2017, while in the comfort of her home, Tressie peacefully slipped into eternal slumber.  Her seeds are well sown, her service on earth is now complete and she now experience the victory and triumph of life.

Treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of: her God-daughter, Mae D. Williams of the home; one niece, Audrey W. Bankston; two nephews, Wayne Williams and Michael A. Williams; a host of other relatives and friends.
