Mrs. Hattie Bell Stancell, 98, of Margarettsville, North Carolina, peacefully answered the Master's call from earthly labor unto eternal rest on the morning of Sunday, March 25, 2018, while in the comfort of her home.
She was born February 12, 1920 in Northampton County, to the parentage of the late Harvey and Sallie Faison. Hattie was educated in the Northampton County Public School System. She received Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age and united in Christian fellowship with Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. There she served in many capacities; faithfully in the choir, as a member of the Missionary Ministry and Pastor Aide Ministry. She looked forward to attending Sunday School and attending other churches when there wasn't any services at her own. She worked as a housekeeper for Richard and Mildred Glover and the Carpenters for years. Hattie or Bell, as most people called her, had a great love for baking and canning, making enough to share with others.
On September 17, 1943, she was joined in Holy Matrimony with Cameron Stancell, where her four children was blessed with a loving mother. Bell was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Cameron Stancell, Jr. and Dallas Ray Stancell.
