Hattie Hazel (Mason) Garris

Hattie Hazel Garris, daughter of the late Elliott Mason and Ruby Brooks Mason, was born Thursday, May 28, 1931 in Northampton County, North Carolina.  

Hazel was educated in the Northampton County School System.  She was a faithful member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Seaboard, North Carolina, where she served faithfully in many capacities and was a dedicated Usher.

On Sunday, June 17, 2018, while at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, our beloved, Hattie Hazel Garris, peacefully answered God's call from earthly labor, unto eternal rest. 

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of:  her husband, Cleveland Roberts of the home; two children, Dr. Linda Garris-Bright of Virginia Beach, Virginia and  Steven Garris of Weldon, North Carolina; one sister, Lucy Mae Garris of Weldon, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Stephanie Garris, LaKeisha Garris, Taneisha Garris and Shaunte' Shaw; one great-grandchild, Lila Garris; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.    

***  Family members are asked to assemble at the funeral home on the day of the service by: 2:45 p.m. for the processional to the church.
