Marshall Mason, Jr., began his journey through life on Wednesday, December 26, 1956, in Northampton County, North Carolina. He was born to the parentage of the late Marshall Mason, Sr. and Grace Smallwood Mason.
'Mar Jr.', as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was educated in the Northampton County Public School System. For many years, he was employed with Severn Peanut Company.
Marshall had several hobbies, including fishing, riding his bike and lounging in his backyard swing. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Duke Blue Devils and the San Francisco 49ers. He often spoke of his belief in God and his love for the Lord; confessing his salvation.
On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, our dear loved one peacefully departed this earthly life; while in the care of The Brian Center, Hertford, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, Marshall was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mason.
His life, love and spirit shall forever remain in the hearts of: two children, Marcus Mason of Pendleton, North Carolina and Monique Mason of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Iyanna, Idreius, Trishelle and Markeese; four sisters, Clementine Deloatch of Winton, North Carolina, Linda Deloatch of Milwaukee, Cynthia Bishop of Greenville, North Carolina and Rosa Mason (Andre) of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; four brothers, Junior Mason (Evonne) of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, Ricky Mason (Eva) of Durham, North Carolina, James Mason and Jesse Mason (Pamela) all of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
