Wendell Pasco Broadnax

Wendell Pasco Broadnax, 64 departed this life on June 2, 2018 at the Grand Strand Memorial Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Wendell was born to the late Mansfield and Ruth Brown Broadnax in Halifax County on December 31, 2018. He was educated in the Northampton County Schools; graduating from  Gumberry High School, Class of 1972.  He received his undergraduate education from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. He worked at R.J. Reynolds and GMAC insurance in computer operations. At an early age, he joined Bethlehem Baptist Church of Seaboard, NC. He joined Second New Bethel Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, NC on November 24, 2013.

Survivors include:  his wife of 40 years, Glenda Evonne Broadnax; three children, Nicole (Phillip) Allen of San Diego, CA, Brandon (Shanair) Broadnax of Atlanta, GA and Danitra (Dontavian) Harrison of El Paso, TX; his grandchildren Sade' Allen, Prince Nasir Allen, Zariah Broadnax and Amir Broadnax, and great niece, Genysys Scott of Prince George, VA; his siblings, Ruth (Donald) Eaton of New Haven, CT, and Phil (Pamela) Broadnax of Apex, NC;  mother-in-law, Lucy Scott of Garysburg, NC;  two sisters-in-law, Jackie Scott of Garysburg, NC and Rev. Sheila Powell of Weldon, NC; one brother-in-law, Rev. Jeffrey (Jackie) Scott of Tobaccoville, NC;  host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
