“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose,
for all that we love deeply, becomes a part of us.”
Annie Naomi Broady, daughter of the late Narcissa Williams, began her journey through life on Sunday, July 24, 1949 in Northampton County, North Carolina.
Naomi, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was educated in the Northampton County Public School System. Early in life, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was a dedicated member of Faith and Forgiveness Holiness Church, until her health began to decline. Naomi loved attending church and praising God for all of his blessings, rather great or small.
As a beloved mother and grandmother, Naomi enjoyed spending quality time with her family - especially during the Thanksgiving holiday. She embraced the natural beauty of the world and had a strong passion for helping anyone she could. She was the matriarch of her family and was respected as such. The values and principles she instilled will leave a permanent impression in the hearts of all she touched. To know her was to love her and she was known by many throughout. Naomi’s favorite pastimes included fishing and cooking.
“After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring; After the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease, After life’s cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.” On Monday, November 22, 2021, God plucked a beautiful flower to add to his heavenly bouquet. Naomi was escorted to the gates of heaven by one of the angels to join her family that preceded her in death: her mother; daughter, Gwendolyn Kee Jarrett and grandson, Jihad Amon Kee.
Our family is a circle of strength and love; with every birth and every union, the circle of love grows - every trial faced together makes the circle grow stronger. We who remain struck by the bitter pain of death, but are assured by the promise of God; that He would wipe all tears from our eyes are: children, Annie Bell Blunt (Samuel Branch) of Halifax, North Carolina, Isaiah Kee, Jr. (Melanie) of Highland, California, John ‘DJ’ Kee of Charlotte, North Carolina and Priscilla Kee of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three special cousins, Narcissa Clemmons, Randy Bell and Odessa Hardy; her devoted caregivers, Emma Braswell and Clora Lassiter; a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mrs. Broady's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
