Damion Gaye Obituary

DAMION RECHELLE GAYE, beloved son of David Gaye and the late Laura Deloatch Gaye, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19th, 2024, in Greenville, North Carolina, at the age of 46. His memory will be cherished by his loving family, including his devoted wife, Jennifer Gaye; his brother, Derreck Gaye; his sisters, Brenda White and Diane Person; and his beloved children and grandchildren, who will continue to honor his legacy in their own meaningful ways.

Damion was a man who found deep joy in the simple pleasures of life. He often spent time outdoors, enjoying the fresh air of his hometown, Conway, North Carolina. A proud United States Army veteran, Damion’s service took him beyond the rural landscapes of North Carolina, allowing him to experience life overseas and broaden his horizons.

Though his time with us was too brief, Damion’s spirit, kindness, and love for his family and community will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
