Deacon Sandy Alexander Carter, Jr.

Deacon Sandy Alexander Carter, Jr. began his journey through life on Sunday, June 19, 1949 in Halifax County, North Carolina to the parentage of Dorothy M. Carter and the late Sandy Carter.  He peacefully departed this earthly life on Monday, September 19, 2022; while in the comfort of his home.  

Cherished memories of his life, love and servitude will forever remain in the hearts of:  his devoted wife, Barbara Carter; four children, Troy, Ramon, Taumeka and Jamie; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his loving mother, Dorothy M. Carter; ten siblings, Maurice, Calvin (Vera), Lucy, Brenda (Wilbur), Patricia, Camilla (Lester), Pearl (John), Connie (Earl), Solomon (Carolyn) and Alfred (Marlene); one aunt, Shelia Carpenter;  in-laws, Elizabeth  and Leon (Gertie); a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
