Donlitive Marquis Bishop

Donlitive Marquis Bishop, affectionately known as “Moe,” peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, in the early morning hours at his home. Moe was born on Saturday, September 11th, 1982, to Janette Grant and the late Donald Keith Bishop.

Moe received his education in the Northampton County Schools and later earned his GED from Halifax Technical College. From a young age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his deep love for the church remained a significant part of his life. Moe was often seen with his Bible in hand, reflecting his strong faith and devotion.

Moe was known for his vibrant personality, infectious smile, and ability to bring joy to everyone he encountered. Starting his work life at the age of 15, Moe held various jobs throughout the years, but his time at AAA in Raleigh was especially dear to him. He had a remarkable gift for connecting with others, always offering a helping hand, thoughtful advice, and solutions to any challenge. His constant laughter and love for people were evident in all he did.

Moe is survived by his devoted mother, Janette Grant of Conway, North Carolina; his stepmother, Annette Bishop of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; six brothers: Michael Harris, Sr. of Garysburg, North Carolina; Brandon Harris, Sr. (Quameshia) of Conway, North Carolina; Donald Bishop, Jr. of Franklin, Virginia; Timothy Jennings of Conway, North Carolina; Taurean Bishop of Murfreesboro, North Carolina and Desmeod Graham of Florida; one sister, Trennette Bishop of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; three nephews: Michael Harris, Jr., Malik Harris, and Brandon Harris, Jr.; one great-niece, Amethyst Janet Michelle Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Moe’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. He was a shining light in the lives of many, and his presence will be profoundly missed by those who loved him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
