Elaine Winborne-Jones

Elaine Winborne-Jones, the cherished daughter of the late Joe Lee Winborne Sr. and Joan Crooms, was born on Thursday, August 18th, 1966, in Essex, NJ. After her birth, she relocated to Seaboard, NC, where she was lovingly reared by the late Willie Mae Langford. Elaine peacefully departed this life on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 in the serenity of her home.

Embracing Christ from a young age, Elaine served in various capacities at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Seaboard, NC during her childhood. In 2009, she became a devoted member of Spring eld Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC. Elaine was educated in the Northampton County School System; graduating from Northampton County High School - East, class of 1984. She pursued her education at St. Augustine University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Broadcast Communications. Elaine ventured into diverse professional elds, including Radio Communications in Maryland, becoming a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer in Raleigh, and working as a Xerox Customer Service/Technical Analyst. Her career culminated as a Communication Specialist/Consumer Insurance Analyst for the Department of Insurance in Raleigh

In 2008, Elaine united in Holy Matrimony with her eternal love, Johnny M. Jones. Renowned for her passion for fashion and expertise in Holistic and Naturopathic Medicine, Elaine enjoyed spending her free time with family, baking, traveling and relaxing at the beach. Known for her heart of gold, she dedicated herself to helping others and was described by many as a celestial being—a true virtuous woman.

Elaine is lovingly survived by: her devoted husband, Johnny M. Jones of Clayton, NC; two daughters, Briana L. Winborne of Clayton, NC and Myriah L. Moore (Kelton) of New Braunfels, TX; one son, Jordan A. Spencer of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Mason K. Moore and Marcie K. Moore of New Braunfels, TX; brothers, Joe Lee Winborne, Jr. (Sharon) of Leland, NC, Norman Langford (Geraldine) of Seaboard, NC, Daryl Johnson and Dan Johnson both of Miami, FL; sisters, Anita McCalla (Lawrence) of Palm Bay, FL, Joan Parrish of Tampa, FL, Bettie Coates St. Remy (Michael) of Raleigh, NC and Freda Anderson (Myron) of Weldon, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Elaine’s life, love and spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
