Kimora Robinson Obituary

The amazing, smart, talented, and beautiful life of Kimora Ashanti Robinson, 17, of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina, tragically came to a close on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. Born on May 15th, 2008, in Halifax County, North Carolina, Kimora was the beloved daughter of Latoya Robinson and Antoine Hubbard. She was a vibrant and driven young woman who was currently receiving her education at South Central High School and Pitt Community College, where she had developed a strong interest in Criminal Justice.

From a young age, Kimora found joy and self-expression through dance, an art form that quickly became her passion. She was a dedicated member of the South Central Marching Falcons dance team as well as BEDC, where she was known not only for her talent but also for her spirit and discipline. Kimora’s energy, creativity, and commitment to excellence made her a standout performer and a beloved member of her dance family. She cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially meaningful conversations with her mother, which she held close to her heart.

Kimora was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend. She was a great listener and confidante, always present and supportive to those around her. Her vibrant presence and kind heart left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Above all, she was a PHENOMENAL DANCER, and that passion radiated through everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her brother Tyshaun; great-grandfathers James Robinson, Robert High, and George Arrington; her bonus grandfather Leander Sykes; great-grandmothers Annie High, Lois Arrington, and Lillie Simmons; and great-aunts Cynthia Johnson, Barbara Robinson, and Jennifer Mallory.

Kimora leaves behind a loving and devoted family to cherish her memory: her mother Latoya Robinson (Ikeem) of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina, and her father Antoine Hubbard of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; two sisters, A’Nasia Robinson of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina, and Kassidy Williams of Tallahassee, Florida; and a bonus sister, Z’Kylah Harding of Littleton, North Carolina. She is also survived by her grandparents: Linda Robinson of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; Jeffery (Helen) High of Statonsburg, North Carolina; Georgia Hubbard and Glenn Simmons, both of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; and her bonus grandmother, Ogletra Harding of Littleton, North Carolina. Her great-grandmother Dozine Robinson of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina also survives her.

Her extended family includes two aunts: Tomica (Jerry) Robinson of Winterville, North Carolina, and Glinta Hubbard of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; and three uncles: Deante Brewer of Garysburg, North Carolina; Antonio Simmons of Richmond, Virginia; and Ricky Hubbard of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. She is also survived by bonus uncles Delshon (Tina) Harding of Mebane, North Carolina, and Dewonn (Ketia) Harding of Littleton, North Carolina. Her great-aunts include Evelyn Robinson and Patricia Miles of Garysburg, North Carolina; Janice (Alton) Mason of Skippers, Virginia; Tammy Robinson of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; Shirley (Charlie) Burnette, Linda Abington, Yvonne Hawkins, and Shirley Simmons, all of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; Louvenia (Napolian) King of Prince George, Virginia; and Wanda (Gregory) Hicks of Emporia, Virginia. Her great-uncles are Robert (Rosiland) High Jr. of Richmond, Virginia, and Ronnie and Dennis Arrington of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

Kimora also leaves behind special cousins Amayah and Jayden Robinson of Winterville, North Carolina; Amani Young of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; and Natasha Simms of Ahoskie, North Carolina, along with two close cousins Lacey Banks and Olivia Robinson. She shared a special bond with her dear friend Nassir, and was deeply loved by her dance coaches Infinity McCassling and teacher Kolina Mondragon, as well as her teammates from the Marching Falcons and BEDC.

In addition to her immediate and extended family, Kimora leaves behind a host of cousins, close friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by her incredible spirit. Though her time with us was far too short, Kimora’s legacy of love, laughter, strength, and movement will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
