Larry Donnell Darden

Larry Darden transitioned from his earthly life to eternal rest on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at Courtland Rehabilitation Center in Courtland, Virginia. He was born on Wednesday July 8th, 1953, in Branchville, Virginia, to the late David and Doris Blowe Darden.

Affectionately known as “Boo-Boo,” Larry will be fondly remembered for his witty, clever, and playful spirit. A natural joker, he delighted in giving family members unique nicknames that only he used—leaving behind countless cherished memories and moments of laughter. Larry proudly served his country as an Army veteran and was a devoted father and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Doris Darden; one brother, Glenn Darden; and one sister, Stephanie Darden.

Larry leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Candace Kearney of Kennesaw, Georgia; one sister, Candace Ridley of Franklin, Virginia; one uncle, Milton Blowe of Silver Spring, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.

Though he will be deeply missed, Boo-Boo’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of all who knew and loved him.
