And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
~ Revelation 21: 3-4
Lloyd Jerome Pierce, Sr., son of the late Peter Lashley and Irene Pierce, was born on Thursday, March 2, 1961 in Pleasant Hill, (Northampton County) North Carolina.
Lloyd was educated in the Northampton County School System. During his lifetime, he held various positions of employment. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, who touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed.
Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay… Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey is quicker, For some the journey’s slow. And when the journey finally ends, We’ll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord. On Monday, February 28, 2022 while in the care of Signature Healthcare Center of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, our dear loved one, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to a land of peace and rest. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was also preceded in death by one brother, James E. Pierce.
Though the clouds may hang over, there will be a brighter day, in that land that they call heaven, God shall wipe all tears away. We, who are bound by treasured ties of affection and love, as we pass him to God’s keeping are: three children, Lloyd J. Pierce, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Cynthia R. Shearin and Yasheba Pierce both of Gaston, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; one brother, Richard L. Pierce of Gaston, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mr. Pierce's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
