God sends His children here with special tasks to do
and calls them home, one by one, when their work is through.
McArthur Winborne, son of the late Louvenia Buffaloe was born on Tuesday, September 22, 1942 in Seaboard, NorthCarolina. He was reared in the loving and capable care of the late Norman and Lydia Simmons Winborne.
‘Mack’, as he was affectionately called, was educated in the Northampton County School System. Being reared in a Christian home, he accepted Christ and united in fellowship with the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Seaboard, North Carolina. He served as a Trustee and Usher, both faithfully, until his health began to fail.
On Saturday, September 10, 1966,‘Mack’was united in Holy Matrimony to Evelyn Ann Coates. They shared over 55 years of marriage together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
To provide for his family, ‘Mack’ was gainfully employed with JP Stevens for many years. After his retirement, he became employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, until his second retirement. ‘Mack’ had a passion for fixing things and working with his hand. He loved repairing cars, lawn mowers and carpentry.
