Oscar 'Hercules' Epps, Jr. Obituary

“Sad is the parting, no one can tell:

So sudden on earth the sorrow fell,

The blow was hard, the shock severe;

To part with one we love so dear.

Dearer still, as days depart;

Our loved one’s memory will forever live within our hearts!”

Oscar Ray Epps Jr., known to us all as ‘Hercules’, was born on July 14, 1995, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to Oscar Epps Sr. and LaKeisha Jordan Epps.

Oscar Jr. was a beautiful soul who cared about everyone and always saw the best in others. ‘Hercules’ was an extremely intelligent, very creative, and renaissance man. He was inspired at a young age to own his own Trucking Company, to be his own boss and he accomplished that by establishing Hercules Trucking Company, LLC.

Oscar Jr. was well known and well respected near and far. In his spare time, he would help or fix anything for anyone (trucks, cars, motorcycles, etc.). He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, working on his trucks and spending time with his children. Oscar Jr. was a great father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and all around amazing person, may his soul live with us forever.

As he departed his earthly life, he was reunited with his grandmother, Shirley Ann Jordan.

Oscar Jr. leaves in mourning his parents, Oscar and LaKeisha Epps; sister, Octavia; his children, London, Taylor, Lynsea and Ja’Corey; maternal grandfather, Lloyd Jordan; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Annie Epps; maternal great-grandmother, Esther Lee Battle; aunts, Linda Hinds, Christine Jordan and Ashley Jordan; uncle, Joel Motley; a host of great-aunts and uncles, many, many friends, his trucker family and his lovable dog, Cole.

‘Hercules’, as we say our goodbyes and see you later. We thank you for the good times and the joy you have placed in our hearts, and we will cherish you in our memories forever.

Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.

~Matthew 5:4
