Ralph Winborne, son of the late Norman and Lydia Z. Simmons-Winborne, began his journey through life on Sunday, January 5, 1930, in Hertford County, North Carolina.
Ralph accepted Christ and united in Christian Fellowship with the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Seaboard, North Carolina, where he served as a Trustee and enjoyed doing so. He was united in matrimony to Constella Winborne.
Ralph served his country honorably in the United States Army, which he fought in the Korean War. He had many passions and interests. Ralph was self-employed. He loved baseball, gardening, playing pool, hunting, playing cards, cutting grass, and socializing with friends and family. During the spring and summer months, Ralph could be found fishing at a lake, pond or river. He didn't mind sharing the fish he caught with family, friends, or anyone who wanted some fish.
Ralph departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his residence. In addition to his parents, wife and step daughter, Ralph was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey and Joe Lee Winborne, Sr. and sister Willie Mae Winborne Langford.
Precious memories shall forever be cherished in the hearts of: his devoted son, Vincent and wife Gwendolyn Joyner of Chesterfield, Virginia; six grandchildren, Vincent Joyner Jr. of Stuttgart, Germany; Lyeria Harris of Hinesville, Georgia; Brandon Joyner of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Tyreese and Lance Joyner of Columbia, South Carolina and Aliana Mayo; one brother, McArthur and wife Evelyn Winborne of Seaboard, North Carolina; one sister, Jessie and husband Mike Pincus of Philadelphia; Pennsylvania; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
