Reverend James Bell, Jr. was born on December 18, 1968 to Marie Bell and James Louis Bell, Sr. in Paterson, New Jersey. He departed this earthly life at home on November 25, 2020.
Rev. James Bell, Jr. was educated in the Northampton County School system in Jackson, North Carolina. Rev. James Bell, Jr. began his career working as a Security Officer in the White House in Washington, D.C. He then became a Sheriff’s Officer in the state of Virginia. Later, he worked as a Correction Officer at Odom State Prison in Jackson, North Carolina.
Rev. James Bell, Jr. was a man of great faith, who believed that God was the head of his life. Blessed with a strong Christian foundation, James taught his family to be honest, fair, and to have a good and generous heart. Reverend Bell was a lifelong member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, North Carolina. Rev. James Bell, Jr. was ordained in 2018, as a Minister at Roanoke Salem Baptist Church in Garysburg, North Carolina. James was a strong believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Reverend Bell enjoyed teaching bible class and spreading the good news of Jesus. He also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, 1980’s and 1990’s sitcoms and listening to an assortment of sermons. If you knew Reverend Bell, you knew he loved to feast on a good meal! Reverend Bell enjoyed spending time with his family and attending church.
Reverend James Bell, Jr. was proceeded in death by his earthly father, James Louis Bell, Sr. (Nancy T. Bell) of Irvington, New Jersey. Reverend James Bell, Jr. leaves behind: his mother Marie Hughes (Tony Hughes) of Jackson, North Carolina; two sisters, Janel Bell-Shiver (Ricky Shiver) of Union New Jersey and Sharon Gillard of Raleigh, North Carolina; one niece Mikayla S. Lowe of Union, New Jersey; a devoted aunt, Inez Moses of Jackson, North Carolina, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Reverend Bell's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
