Memories are treasures no one can steal. Death is the heartache nothing can heal.
Some may forget you now that you are gone, But we shall remember you no matter how long.
Robin Terrance Majette, Sr., son of the late John Thomas and Shirley Clark Majette was born Tuesday, January 21, 1969.
Robin, fondly known to many as ‘Bigg Rob’, ‘Rob Base’ and ‘Tube Base’, was educated in the Northampton County School System. He dedicated his early years of employment to being a laborer until an accident disabled him from that chosen field. Instead of being complacent with his disability, he decided to try his hand at something more suitable for him. There he would follow his dream of becoming a truck driver, where he remained until his health prevented him from doing such a task.
Robin enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and he spent countless occasions with his family playing cards.
Softly and tenderly on Thursday, September 14, 2023, God descended the angels from heaven above to call upon the soul of our beloved Robin Terrance Majette, Sr. In addition to his loving parents, Robin was preceded in death by: one son, Semaj Short; a brother, Jermaine Majette, Sr.; and grandparents, Robert & Dorothy Edmonds and Percell & Hilda Maggette.
Treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of: his wife, Metokia Majette of Greensboro, North Carolina; his children, Torrie Moore of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Robin Majette, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina, Arianna Majette of Rich Square, North Carolina, Zarmone Aniya, TyQues Romeil and ArQuayvion Raqu Majette all of Texas; his siblings, Rodney Majette (Pamela), Michael Majette and Felicia Majette (Callip Sr.) all of Rich Square, North Carolina and Tonya Boone (Anthony) of Lewiston, North Carolina; father-in-law, Bruce Jones, Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Joslyn Rivers (Floyd) of Weldon, North Carolina, Sherita Short (Charles) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and Qudrieka Brown of Richmond, Virginia; three brothers-in-law, Bruce Jones, Jr. of Weldon, North Carolina, Bruce Jones, III and Tyrelle Jones both of Richmond, Virginia; four aunts, Jenette (Charles) of Rich Square, North Carolina, Beatrice Balmer (Joe Lee), Hattie and Carolyn Majette all of Paterson, New Jersey; four uncles, Robert Lee and Dennis Edmonds of Woodland, North Carolina, William Grant (Evelyn) of Seaboard, North Carolina and Lucas Maggett of South, Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; including a very special friend, Candus Williams.
