“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart.
And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
~ John 14:27 NLT
Sadie Pearl Seabron Price, daughter of the late Essie Mae Seabron, began her journey through life on Friday, August 20th, 1948, in Northampton County, North Carolina.
Sadie was educated in the Northampton County Public School System, where she graduated from Gumberry High School. Shortly after completing her education, she met and fell in love with Timothy Price, Sr. The two were united in Holy Matrimony in April 1972, beginning a life together filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Sadie found immense joy in helping others, a passion that guided her throughout her career. She began working as a Teacher’s Assistant for the New York City Public Schools, where she nurtured and supported young minds. She then went on to work at Julissa Daycare Afterschool, where she continued her dedication to educating and caring for children. Sadie concluded her career at the Queens Parent Resource Center, where she cared for intellectually challenged adults, retiring after many years of selfless service.
Sadie had a unique way of connecting with people. She knew how to reach both your heart and your pockets, often through her love of cooking. She delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones and always brought warmth and comfort through her food. Another of Sadie’s joys was playing cards; she never missed an opportunity to enjoy a game, any time of the day and any day of the week.
On Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, while in the care of Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, New York, Sadie’s earthly journey peacefully came to an end. She is now reunited in Heaven with her mother, Essie Mae Seabron; her sisters, Clydie Webb, Wyoming ‘Red’ Barber, Barbara Weaver, and Pearlie Mae Seabron; her brother, Lawrence ‘Kojak’ Robinson; and her nephew, James ‘Dukemane’ Seabron.
Sadie leaves behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of: her loving husband, Timothy Price, Sr. of New York; her children, Stacy Price, Tracy Price and Timothy Price, Jr.; her seven grandchildren; her sister, Pauline Rush of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her brother, Silas Seabron of New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mrs. Price's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
