“Remembering you is easy, we do it everyday
Missing you is a heartache, which will never go away.”
Stanley Alexander Scott, son of Joyce Scott and Michael Hendricks, began his journey through life on Monday, September 7, 1987 in Halifax County, North Carolina. He was educated in the Northampton County Public School System.
“Sad is the parting, no one can tell: So sudden on earth the sorrow fell, The blow was hard, the shock severe; To part with one we love so dear. Dearer still, as days depart; Our loved one’s memory will forever live on within our hearts!” On Wednesday, January 19, 2022; our dear loved one departed this earthly life in Garysburg, North Carolina. He now is reunited with those who preceded him in death.
It’s sometimes hard to understand why these things have to be. Our sad hearts seek the answer, but it’s not for us to see we can only trust in God and know that in some way , It’s all a part of His great plan, we’ll understand someday. Memories are treasures no one can steal, death is the heartache nothing can heal. Some may forget you now that you are gone, but we who remain shall remember you no matter how long: your loving parents, Joyce Scott and Michael Hendricks of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; siblings, Risha McDaniel of Halifax, North Carolina, Rodale Daniel (Kira) of Tarboro, North Carolina and Shenita Scott of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; sister-at-heart, Lakisha Moody of Halifax, North Carolina; grandfather, Curtis Kirkland, of New York; nieces and nephews, Zori, Javontae, Curtis, Ismeal, Samya and Takyiah; aunts, Juanita Scott of Garysburg, North Carolina, Narcissa B. Clements of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Odessa Hardy of Gaston, North Carolina, Doris Gay of Virginia and Annie Bell of Halifax, North Carolina; uncles, David Scott (Eva) of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina, Marvin Scott and Sammy Scott both of Garysburg, North Carolina, Randy Bell, Ronnie Perry (Barbara) and Donnie Perry all of Gaston, North Carolina and Willis Green of Peterbsurg, Virginia; three special cousins, Willis Green, Damien Scott and Lamar Bell; a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, other relatives and friends.
AFTERGLOW
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun
Of happy memories I leave behind - when day is done.
- Helen Lowrie Marshall
