Steve Robinson Obituary

Memories are treasures no one can steal. Death is the heartache nothing can heal.

Some may forget you now that you are gone, But we shall remember you no matter how long.

Today, we pause to pay tribute to the life, love and spirit of Steve Robinson, who was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.

Steve was born on Tuesday, January 29, 1963 in Patterson, New Jersey to the parentage of Edward Robinson, Sr. and Burnettie Pugh. He was educated in the Patterson School District. After graduation, he became employed with Murray’s Furniture Store. He was an avid weightlifter, and he enjoyed watching football. He loved his family with all of his heart.

Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay… Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey is quicker, For some the journey’s slow. And when the journey finally ends, We’ll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord. Steve transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, January 28, 2023, while in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by: one sister, Joan Coppage; his maternal grandparents, John and Eva Pugh; paternal grandparents, James and Eunice Robinson; three aunts, Beulah Jacobs, Lizzie Majette and Mable Robinson; two uncles, John Henry Pugh and Wilbur Robinson and one nephew, Javon Hall.

We believe that Jesus died and rose again and that God will bring to Him those who sleep in Jesus, yet still there, are those that are left behind to mourn his passing and cherish his memory: his beloved mother, Burnettie Pugh of Rich Square, North Carolina; father, Edward Robinson, Sr. of Patterson, New Jersey; brother, Reverend Donald Robinson (Cheryl) of Lansing, Illinois; sister, Barbara Taylor of Rich Square, North Carolina; sister-at-heart, Peggy Boone of Rich Square, North Carolina; his fiance’, Sheldrene Thomas of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; one aunt, Viola Carr of Rich Square, North Carolina; two uncles, Douglas Robinson and Eddie Robinson, both of Rich Square, North Carolina; three nieces, Kalie Robinson, Felicia Taylor and Simone Hall; three nephews, Antron Hall, Alvin Taylor, Jr. and Jayson Hayire; a host of loving relatives and friends.
