On Sunday, November 16, 1980, life was bestowed upon Tamika Eyvonne Debreaux in Northampton County, North Carolina. She was born to the parentage of Lester Debreaux and Diane Boone and matriculated through the Northampton County Public School System.
Tamika graduated from Northampton County High School – East in June 1999 and earned her Associates Degree in Medical Technology from The Medical Arts School in 2016.
Wings...Are carved surfaces that lift …Wings enable you to soar beyond all your self-imposed restrictions and take you to the lofty heights you dare to dream of. Wings over protection and comfort. Wings remind us of the angels that guard and guide us from above, and of those angels that walk among us. Wings remind us that it is in our power to be an angel to the next person, who may just happen to need one. Anything is possible, when you have wings. Tamika, our angel, was considered a rare jewel by so many people. She never turned anyone away from her doorstep. If you needed a place to stay, food to eat, a babysitter, or just a trusted listening ear - she was there. Once you crossed the doorway, she considered you family, and what was her’s was now yours. You could always find her sitting in her recliner while enjoying her favorite TV shows or playing games on her cell phone with a Pepsi. Her recliner was her place of zen and relaxation, and she safeguarded it. If she was disrupted, she would longingly say, “Get out of my room!” Family and friends knew she was particular about her peace, home place of residence and her Pepsi. In addition, Tamika was a sneaker enthusiast and she developed a grand collection.
You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. In life we loved you dearly. In death we love you still. It broke our heart to lose you, But you didn’t go alone, As part of us went with you, The day God took you home. On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, God in His infinite wisdom called our beloved Tamika to eternal rest.
Tamika, God has given you your assignment - always in our hearts, forever our angel. You earned those wings beloved and you will always be our angel eternal. We who remain to treasure her love and cherish her memories are: two daughters, Shakenya Deloatch of Raleigh, North Carolina and Amari Clark of the home; one son, Shamir Deloatch of the home; one granddaughter, Aubrielle Thomas of Raleigh, North Carolina; her mother, Dianne Boone of the home; her father, Lester Debreaux of Rich Square, North Carolina; two sisters, Myeshia Debreaux of Raleigh, North Carolina and Chená Flood of Wake Forest, North Carolina; her best friend, Jazmine Montgomery of Raleigh, North Carolina; a special “sister,” Crystal Hunter of Raleigh, North Carolina; a close friend, Courtney Robinson of Port Canaveral, Florida; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
