Windell Deloatch Obituary

Memories are treasures no one can steal.

Death is the heartache nothing can heal.

Some may forget you now that you are gone,

But we shall remember you no matter how long.

Windell Deloatch began his journey through life on Sunday, August 19, 1962 in Northampton County, North Carolina. He was born to the loving care and parentage of the late James Clifton Deloatch and Odell Flythe Deloatch.

Windell was educated in the Northampton County Public School System. He later became gainfully employed with the North Carolina Department of Corrections, as a Corrections Officer. After thirty years of dedicated service, Windell retired.

On Monday, August 29, 2022, our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, peacefully departed this earthly life, while in care of Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Jackson, North Carolina. In addition to his loving parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loistine ‘Lois’ Futrell.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts and minds of: his siblings, Dianne Majette (Ivory Jr.) of Rich Square, North Carolina, Christine Winfield (Louis) of Jackson, North Carolina, James C. Deloatch (Carolyn), Travis Deloatch (Ann) and Carnell Deloatch (Yvette) all of Conway, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, whose lives he touched.

We thought of you today, but that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday and the day before that too.

We think of you in silence and often speak your name.

Now all we have are memories and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake, with which we’ll never part.

God has you in His keeping and we have you in our hearts!
