Ceolia Person 'Cee' Brooks

 When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room , Why cry for a soul set free?

   Ceolia Person Brooks, daughter of the late Gentle Washington Person and Doris Mae Newsome Person, began her journey through life on December  13, 1957, in Southampton  County, Virginia.  
        'Cee', as she was  affectionately called by her family and friends, was educated in the Southampton County School System.  For thirty-three years, she was employed with Narricot Industries, Boykins, Virginia, until her retirement, in 2017.
       'Cee' was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be missed by all those who lives she touched. She was a very outgoing and proud person. She loved getting her hair and nails done.
       Early in  life, 'Cee' confessed faith in Christ, was baptized and she united in Christian Fellowship with Galilee Baptist Church, Branchville, Virginia, where she remained a loyal and faithful member. Although she was unable to attend church in the last several months, her love and affections remained for her church family.  
       On Saturday, December 30, 2017; after an extended stay at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia; God in his infinite wisdom, called Ceolia home to rest. "Come ye, blessed of my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you."  Her seeds are well sown, her service on earth is now complete and she now experience the victory and triumph of eternal life.
       In addition to her parents, Ceolia was also preceded in death by: her beloved husband, James Edwards Brooks, Sr.;  her  precious daughter, Amesha Person Stephenson and loving sister, Lorraine Person.   

       "I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day."
