Tamir L. Faison

CEO, President

Mr. Tamir L. Faison,  embraces the notion that beautiful presentation and pleasant memories, help to mitigate grief.

A native of Northampton County, North Carolina, Mr. Faison was born August 26, 1981 to Josephine Annette Artis Faison and the late Buster Thomas Faison.  He has one sister, Stacy Lynn Faison.

Mr. Faison understands that Funeral Service is not a job, rather a "calling".  As a young lad, and oddly enough, as one who was afraid of the dead; it was always his dream to become an "Undertaker".  Mr. Faison was fascinated by the big, fancy cars (hearse and limousines); the dapper matching suits and of course the care and compassion given by the funeral home's staff to those who were grieving.

Mr. Faison, a 1999 graduate of Northampton County High School - East (Conway, NC), matriculated at Halifax Community College (Weldon, NC) and Fayetteville Technical Community College (Fayetteville, NC); before graduating from John Tyler Community College (Chester, VA) in June 2002, with an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service Education.  He then went on to successfully complete the National Board Examination of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Board, Inc.  In the same year, Mr. Faison triumphantly passed the requirements regulating the practice of Funeral Service (Funeral Directing and Embalming) in the state of North Carolina (August 20th).  And on December 11, 2002, he was licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.

While a student in high school, Mr. Faison began working under the tutelage of the late Bobie Nathaniel Moss at Faison's Funeral Home (Seaboard, NC), on February 19, 1999.  He also became affiliated with Knox-High Mortuary, Inc. (Emporia, VA), under the direction of Donati Ray High, Sr.  Mr. Faison received a double portion of knowledge and training from these brothers, who would nurture and foster him into the funeral service industry.

In addition to providing "first class service", Mr. Faison's talents exceed all expectations. He is also a florist and gives much consideration to even the most intricate detail in every design.  He understands that NO two people are alike, so he believes that NO two services should be the same. From the flowers to the program design; each celebration of life should be as unique as the individual.  Mr. Faison takes great pride in his work and will go to great lengths to make certain that expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

In January 2018, after much dedication, hard work and prayer, Mr. Faison was blessed to procure Faison's Funeral Service, Inc.  Having faith and believing in God, T. L. Faison's Funeral Care, LLC was launched.  As CEO/President, Mr. Faison is not only responsible for the daily operation of the funeral establishment, but also our most valuable asset  -  our reputation.   He is dedicated to insuring every family receives "Professional Care, with Dignity and Integrity".

Lastly, Mr. Faison is a lifetime member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (Jackson, NC), where he serves as Trustee and Choir Director.  He loves singing and his melodious sounds can often be heard at funeral ceremonies he provides.
