Robert Lee Vincent, Jr.

Robert Lee Vincent, Jr., beloved son of Lena Marie Banks Vincent and the late Robert Lee Vincent, Sr., was born July 12, 1960, in Halifax County, North Carolina.  He was educated in the Northampton County School System, graduating from Gaston High School, Class of 1979  -- The Mighty Lakers.

​On April 22, 1995, Robert was united under God, in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Lucy M. Robinson.  For over 30 years, he was gainfully employed with West Frazier Inc.   Robert loved his family, his job, the North Carolina Tarheels, basketball, football, weight lifting, music, collecting memorabilia, shopping, encouraging others and spending quality time with his family and friends. 

On Wednesday, August 23, 2017, Robert peacefully departed this journey of life at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, North Carolina.

​Those left to forever love and keep his memory close to their hearts are:  his beloved  wife and soulmate, Lucy Robinson Vincent, of the home; two beautiful children, Lekesha Ingram (Chris) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina  and Haquikah Rashida Robinson of Raleigh, North Carolina; four intelligent grandchildren, Ganiya Davis, Lamaree McLean, Khyelle Ingram and Khyontis Ingram; one energetic great-grandson, Khilyn Davis; his loving mother, Lena Marie Vincent of Gaston, North Carolina; five loving siblings, Ronald D. Vincent of Garysburg, North Carolina, Patricia V. Hartz (Lloyd), Iris V. Johnson (Grady) and Calvin Earl Vincent (Cynthia) all of Gaston, North Carolina and Jermaine Young of Dunn, North Carolina; his uncles, Nathaniel Banks of Victorville, California, Moses Vincent (Mildred) of Garysburg, North Carolina and James Vincent, Sr. (Helen) of Weldon, North Carolina; his aunts, Ellen Jones, Harriet Gee (Bernard), Barbara Greene and Hattie Roundtree all of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and  Cynthia Toye (Ron) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, his God-daughter, Jocelynn Robertson; his loving in-laws, Mertis Pearson (George), Linda Sandlain (Fernandez), Thelma Robinson (Mandy), Ella Robinson, Allen Robertson (Melissa Ingrid), Harry Robinson, Charles Robinson (Odessa) and Donald Robinson (Delphine); his brother-in-Jesus Christ and prayer partner, Calvin Barber; special friends, Stephen Jackson, Connell Roberts, Al Bantley, James Gray, Ricky Everette Larry Clayton, Phill Evans, Debra Squire, Michelle Stephens, Donnell Burgwyn and Donald Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
