Angela Jean Deloatch Lundy, beloved daughter of Annie Ruth Newsome Deloatch Burnette and the late Anderson 'BeBe' Deloatch, Sr., began her journey through life on February 9, 1963, at Riverside Hospital, Newport News, Virginia.
'Angie', as she was affectionately called, graduated from Gumberry High School - Class of 1981.  She furthered her studies at Halifax Community College, where she received an Associate Degree in Social Work.  She later returned to HCC, where she was pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. As a student, she remained on the A Honor Roll. She was also initiated into the Honor's Society of Pi Gamma Mu, while attending Chowan University.  Most recently, 'Angie' had received notification from Chowan, that after successful completion of this semester, she would be eligible for graduation in May 2018 and would have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
At an early age, 'Angie' accepted Christ as her Personal Savior, was baptized and she united in Christian Fellowship with Bethlehem Baptist Church, Seaboard, North Carolina, where she remained a faithful servant, until her demise.  She not only served at Bethlehem, but worshipped and served at many churches in the area, in any capacity she could.
'Angie' was born a caretaker.  She was employed  at Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Guardian Care, Liberty Commons and Rich Square Health Care Center.  Her LOVE and PASSION for the elderly gave her strength and energy to work with clients, even in their home. She also worked at West Point Stevenson, for some time.
On April 8, 1988, 'Angie' was united in Holy Matrimony to Michael Timothy Lundy.
On Friday, January 19, 2018, God in his infinite wisdom, reached down and plucked a beautiful flower from his earthly garden. Her seeds are well sown, her service on earth is now complete and she now experiences the victory and triumph of eternal life.    In addition to her father, 'Angie' was also proceeded in death by:  one brother, Earthen Deloatch, her father-in-law, George Flythe and one aunt, Mable Sumlar.
Treasuring her love, kindness, gentleness  and giving spirit are:  her husband,  Michael of the home; her children, whom she loved with all her heart, Tomekia of Seaboard, North Carolina, Angelo of Raleigh, North Carolina and Nikkia (Gerald) of Greensboro, North Carolina; her adopted son, Tyrone of Queens, New York; six adorable grandchildren, Angel, Taylor, Kaila, Jalen, Jordan and Danzel; her loving mother, Annie Ruth; her caring siblings, Anderson 'Smookie', and Elsie (Jessie) all of Seaboard, North Carolina, Madeline 'Pluck' (Hugh) of Boykins, Virginia and Barbie Jo (Richard) of Margarettsville, North Carolina; her mother-in-law, Mae; her sister and brothers-in-law, Linda (Gregory), Ricky, Lavon (Pamela) and Sylvester 'Pee Wee'; her aunts and uncles, Frances, Carrie, Virginia, John (Phyllis), Robert (Gwen), Melvin (Patricia), Joseph (Mildred) and Bobby (Mary); her devoted friends, Beverly, Nolita, Maxine, Sherrill and Sheila; a host of wonderful, precious and adorable nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, who will truly miss her.
