Tamir L. Faison

At the heart of Mr. Tamir L. Faison's philosophy is the belief that beautiful presentation and meaningful memories can help ease the weight of grief. With a dedication to excellence and compassion, he has transformed his lifelong passion into a fulfilling vocation.

Born on August 26, 1981, in Northampton County, North Carolina, Mr. Faison is the son of Josephine Annette Artis Faison and the late Buster Thomas Faison, and the proud brother of Stacy Lynn Faison.

From a young age, Mr. Faison knew he was called to serve in funeral service—a dream inspired by his admiration for the elegant cars, polished suits, and heartfelt compassion he witnessed in funeral homes. Although once fearful of the deceased, he grew determined to help families honor their loved ones with dignity and grace.

A 1999 graduate of Northampton County High School - East, Mr. Faison pursued his education at Halifax Community College and Fayetteville Technical Community College. In June 2002, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service Education from John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA. That same year, he successfully passed the National Board Examination and achieved licensure to practice funeral directing and embalming in North Carolina (August 20, 2002) and Virginia (December 11, 2002).

Mr. Faison’s professional journey began in high school under the guidance of the late Bobie Nathaniel Moss at Faison’s Funeral Home in Seaboard, NC. He also trained with Donati Ray High, Sr. at Knox-High Mortuary, Inc. in Emporia, VA, receiving an invaluable mentorship from two brothers, that shaped his approach to funeral service.

In addition to his funeral expertise, Mr. Faison is a skilled florist, known for his meticulous attention to detail. He believes every service should be as unique as the individual being celebrated, with personalized floral designs, program layouts, and meaningful touches that exceed expectations.

In January 2018, after years of hard work, faith, and prayer, Mr. Faison acquired Faison’s Funeral Service, Inc. and established T. L. Faison’s Funeral Care, LLC. As CEO and President, he ensures that every family receives “Professional Care, with Dignity and Integrity,” while upholding the highest standards of service and reputation.

Mr. Faison is also a devoted member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, NC, where he has served as Trustee, Deacon, and Choir Director. His love for music often enriches the ceremonies he oversees, offering comfort through his melodious voice.

Through his unwavering commitment and deep compassion, Mr. Tamir L. Faison continues to bring comfort, beauty, and professionalism to the families he serves.
