James Willie Shoulders, began his journey through life on September 7, 1940 in Northampton County, North Carolina. He was born to the parentage of the late James Wilkins Shoulders and Mittie Ann Williams Shoulders.
'Bay', as he was fondly known, was educated in the Northampton County Public School System. For many years, he was employed with Lassiter's Farms. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. James was beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; who will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
'Bay' believed in God; the Father almighty, who created heaven and earth. He possessed strong faith in Christ and did not waiver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith - always acknowledging his presence.
On Wednesday, January 10, 2018, while at LifeCare Hospital, Rocky Mount, North Carolina; God in his infinite wisdom, called James Willie Shoulders. home to rest. "Come ye, blessed of my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy Lee Shoulders
Left not to mourn his passing, but to cherish many fond memories are: his children, Linda Peebles (Vance) of Greenville, North Carolina and Roy Peebles (Lynette) of Powellsville, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Tiera Peebles, Carlton Peebles, Quan Ellis and Adrionne Peebles; four great-grandchildren, Aamirah Moore, Aamor Jones, A'royin West and Le'Ziyah Sykes; his siblings, Linwood Shoulders of Bronx, New York, Bernice Alleyne of Brooklyn, New York, William Shoulders (Susan) and Donald Shoulders both of Greenville, North Carolina, Johnny Shoulders of Rich Square, North Carolina, Margaret Gaillord of New York, New York, Mittie Shoulders of Port Jervis, New York and Lois Easley (DaRon) of Madison, North Carolina; a brother-at-heart, Bennie Williams (Connie) of Conway, North Carolina; a special friend and companion, Ruby Jean Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
